ETCHED IN THE PALM OF HIS HANDS

There is a story in Isaiah, where God’s people were complaining because they felt as though God had abandoned them amid their troubles. He had left them to be attacked by their enemies who destroyed their city.
What really amazed me was God’s response, He was the Almighty God who didn’t have to explain Himself to anyone, yet He took on the role of the Loving Father and explained to His children, telling them that He hadn’t forgotten them, they were important to Him, He told them that He had etched their names in the palm of His hands. Etched, not temporary but permanent, long lasting, not easily erased.
I know that some of you may say that was for His people long ago, but God is the same God. God hasn’t changed and we His people in this time, gets the same love and compassion from Him. I understand that at times, because the pain is too much, the hurt is so deep, the frustration is overwhelming, that you may feel that God has abandoned you. No! Never! He loves you so much that He keeps your name etched in the palm of His hands, it’s part of Himself, He remembers your name and He knows what you are going through.
Amid the pain, hurt and frustration, see your Father helping you through it, easing the pain so that it becomes bearable, until it totally disappears, feel Him comforting you when you are hurting, know that He will even carry you when your strength is diminished.
The love that God has for us is incomparable, and though we must face trials and testings, He will never allow it to swallow us up. Your name is written in the palm of His hand, you are very important to Him. Remember that…
